ɬ Libraries Newsletter

The ɬ Libraries Newsletter is the official publication of ɬ Libraries, dedicated to sharing news, insights, and perspectives relevant to our library community. We aim to connect library users with valuable resources, celebrate library initiatives, and provide a platform for student, faculty, and staff voices on topics related to information, learning, and discovery.

We invite submissions from all library faculty and staff, as well as members of the ɬ community.

The newsletter has expanded its scope of content with the hope of publishing on a wider range of topics and information. As such, there are five primary categories we are soliciting contributions for:

  1. Library News - What’s new at the libraries? Spotlight a recent library event or program, share updates and highlights, etc.
  2. Research Round-Up - Highlight library resources, or offer tips & tools to improve research/study habits.
  3.  Odds & Bookends -  Share a library story, a book recommendation, or other library related miscellany.

    Library Book Reviews
    - Submit a book review highlighting our extensive library collection and celebrating recreational reading.
Library Stories - Microessays from the perspective of our library patrons (“How I Use the Library,” “Favorite Place to Study at the Library,” etc.)

** Contact us with questions about other content ideas.
  4.  Faculty & Staff Spotlight - Share a professional accomplishment in a brief sentence or two (a publication, conference presentation, or professional organization membership, etc.). Provide a link to the publication, conference page, etc. (if available). Refer to a prior for examples.
  5.  Upcoming Events - Submit a relevant save-the-date. Please be aware that the newsletter only publishes twice a year, near the end of Fall and Spring semesters, and the Daily Digest may work better for pending events.
