Dr. Mohini Kamra receives ILC new faculty award

Dr. Mohini Kamra, assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions, received the Innovation in Learning Center鈥檚 new faculty award for Most Engaged New Faculty during New Faculty Orientation.
The Innovation in Learning Center supports faculty through professional development, instructional technologies and teaching and learning initiatives designed to promote innovation in the classroom, blended courses and online learning environments.
Kamra joined the Department of Biomedical Sciences in August 2025. She teaches Immunology and Biochemistry to Biomedical Sciences undergraduates, as well as the seminar course for Biomedical Sciences master鈥檚 students.
Her research focuses on women鈥檚 health, including the development of stimuli-responsive biomaterials for metabolic disorders in women. Her lab鈥檚 work includes research related to polycystic ovarian syndrome, postpartum breast cancer and postpartum obesity.
