Community Health Workers Certificate Program
Course Objective:
Deliver training that supports CHW function in 10 recognized roles and scopes of practice, and in alignment with nationally recognized C3 Core Competencies and skills as outlined by the CDC, APHA, NACHW, AL Coalition for Community Health Workers. Participants will also be given basic training in Chronic Disease Prevention Advocacy and Mental Health First-Aid to facilitate integration in both clinical and community based environments.
General Training Schedule:
Theoretical - Tues, Wed, Thurs - 3 hours each
CHW Practice Placement - Fri or Sat - 4 Hrs
